This is an interesting link I've found about making your own pet food. I've considered doing this, but that food that comes right out of a bag is always just too convenient. However, for 2012, this Spring Break I am going to make my dog homemade meals for an entire week. I can't wait for March to start experimenting! Who knows, I may get hooked.
